The Coalition of Concerned Nzema People has embarked on a massive demonstration over the proposed Petroleum Hub project.
The protest held on Monday was against the government over the acquisition of 20,000 acres of land by the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation for the project.
Speaking on Adom FM Dwaso Nsem, Tuesday, Corporate Communication Officer of the Coalition, Martin Fiifi Millson said they are in full support of development in the Nzema land.
However, the acres of land designated for the project are too huge, and they will end up having no more land for future generations.
“We are not up in arms with the government not to develop Jomoro but the land earmarked for the project is too big. About five communities would have to be relocated in future if we allow that portion of land go. But it hasn’t even been made clear where these residents will be relocated to.
