NYPD: NYC burglary spree ends with 6 men arrested; 40 shops across city targeted [Video]

NEW YORK, N.Y. — A burglary crew wanted for 40 thefts in Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx, have been apprehended by police, the NYPD announced Saturday in a press release.

The arrests began on June 3, with the capture of Alexandar Medine, 52, and Steven Perez, 35, for burglary and possession of burglar’s tools.

Officials chose to hold off on making the accountment until the final member of the crew, 39-year-old Jose Montenegro, was apprehended Friday on a charge of criminal possession of stolen property.

According to police, the crime spree saw cash, merchandise and coin machines unlawfully taken from dozens of business establishments since March, police said.

Two days before Montenegro was apprehended, Ivelisse Rodriguez, 32, and Isaaahiah Rodriguez, 22, were arrested on Wednesday for criminal possession of stolen property, cops said.
