After more than 15 months of waiting to see if the separation would become official, the school community can turn the page on what some called a negative chapter.
NORWICH, Connecticut — Kristen Stringfellow resigned as Superintendent of Norwich Public Schools more than a year after she was put on administrative leave over allegations of retaliatory practices and creating a culture of fear.
She resigned as of Jan. 1. The Norwich Board of Education voted last week to accept her resignation and execute a settlement agreement.
According to Mark Kulos, Norwich School Board Chair, Stringfellow “has agreed to forgo the third-year compensation of her contract and has agreed to be compensated in salary and benefits owed to her contractually for the remainder of the current school year.”
