Northern Nevada Dream Center to host Back to School Bash in Carson City [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Northern Nevada Dream Center is made up of a group of volunteers who want to “bring hope and relief to individuals and families in need by providing support and services that address hunger, poverty, homelessness, addiction, education and spiritual well-being.”

Executive director Susan Sorenson stopped by Morning Break to invite the community to the event.

The sixth annual Back to School Bash takes place Friday, August 16 from 6-8 p.m. This year they are hosting a combined event for Carson, Douglas, Storey and Lyon County elementary school students at Mills Park in Carson City. There will be fire trucks, treats, games, free groceries/resources for families, backpacks stuffed with school supplies and other exciting surprises.

The goal is to welcome 1,000 students in need across the four school districts and YOU can support us by sponsoring a student! We are also asking for corporate and business sponsors for the actual event and planned activities. A …
