Norfolk, NE man dies after fatal accident in rural Pierce County [Video]

PIERCE COUNTY, Neb. (KTIV) – A man died after being thrown from a vehicle in an accident on a rural northeast Nebraska road.

On Friday, Jan. 3, 45-year-old Ryan Graverholt, of Norfolk, Nebraska was found deceased at the scene of an accident, east of 557 Ave. on 847 Road, north of Norfolk, Nebraska.

The accident took place at 2:10 p.m. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the crash by an iPhone notification, which reported a possible accident in rural Pierce County.

According to a press release by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office once authorities arrived on the scene, they say they found a 2000 Ford Ranger Pickup, driven by Graverholt, had left the county road, struck a power pole and rolled.

Officials say it appeared no seatbelt was in use at the time of the crash and icy roads contributed to the accident.
