No injuries in Suffolk fire Saturday afternoon [Video]

The fire started with a propane tank connected to a gas grill on fire.

SUFFOLK, Va. — No one was injured in a gas grill fire in Suffolk Saturday afternoon.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the fire in the 3400 block of Raintree Circle just before 4 p.m., according to a city press release.

Engine 5 arrived to find a two-story home with light smoke conditions. After investigation, crews found a propane tank that was connected to a gas grill on fire. Homeowners had extinguished most of the fire prior to firefighters’ arrival.

Fire crews eliminated remaining hot spots and determined that all heat damage was isolated to the exterior of the structure.

There was no damage to the interior of the home, and there were no injuries associated with the incident.
