CHESTERFIELD (WWJ) A nine-year-old boy is recovering from a crash in Chesterfield Township.
Chesterfield Police said they responded to reports of the crash on Saturday, December 14th, around 7:48 p.m.—at the intersection of 21 Mile and Gratiot.
When they arrived, officers noticed heavy-front-end damage to both a Toyota pickup truck and a Chevy Blazer SUV.
All four people inside the Toyota— two adults, the nine-year-old and another minor—were taken by Medstar ambulance to McLaren Mt. Clemens Hospital, police said in a press release.
Three of them were released. The nine-year-old is hospitalized in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury, according to police.
The driver of the Blazer was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township with non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details were released about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
