NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — InTouch Community Development Center isn’t just meeting needs—it’s aiming to make a major impact in the community. The Newport News nonprofit works to fill gaps by offering resources and support where it’s needed the most.

Dr. Willard Maxwell Jr., the founder of InTouch CDC and pastor of New Beech Grove Baptist Church, said the group’s mission is simply to serve.

“God said he don’t just want to bless you— He wants to make you a blessing. And God gives you more when he can trust you with more to help other people,” Dr. Maxwell said. “Anytime we can make an impact anywhere, that’s what we want to do. Because our job is to, you know, make the light a little bit brighter.”
