According to a press release, officers attempted to pull the driver over on Harvard Avenue just after 8:20 p.m., but the suspect continued westbound across the Harvard-Denison Bridge as well as “various streets and interstate highways.” After authorities used spike strips to deflate two of the vehicle’s tires, it allegedly attempted to get on state Route 176 north going the wrong way before finally being halted on an exit ramp.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of OVI, and law enforcement claims a loaded gun was found inside the car. No injuries were reported.
