New Rochester housing complex will offer affordable rents | News [Video]

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A new apartment complex offering affordable housing will open its doors on October 1st.  Valleyhigh Flats II has 51 units and offers 1 to 4 bedroom floorplans.

“The four bedroom floor plan is unique to affordable housing in Rochester.  We have families who just because of their size you know aren’t able to live in a traditional 1, 2 or 3 bedroom. They need that four bedroom option based on household size, said Velair Property Management operations manager Dan Westendorf.

To be eligible, you must be 30%, 50%, 60%, 70% below area median income level.  According to Westendorf, affordable rent means families are able to gain financial strength.
