Images of the proposed Hobart AFL stadium from the perspective of the Hobart cenotaph have been released – and they haven’t appeased the RSL, which says it’s been disrespected by the government over the project.
It warns the stadium will “destroy sightlines”. The government has vowed to continue working with the RSL to allay some concerns. Reporter Clancy Balen spoke with RSL Tasmania chief executive John Hardy.

What’s next?
The stadium still needs to be assessed by the state’s planning commission under the project of state significance framework and be voted on in parliament.
