Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory has been going viral since his release from prison.
We previously reported that ccording to journalist Philip Lewis, the “Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson tells [him] Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory was transferred yesterday from FCI Coleman Low to community confinement (home confinement or halfway house). Flenory has a projected release date of Jan. 27, 2026.”
The Black Mafia Family co-founder was convicted of operating a national continual criminal enterprise, and conspiracy to launder money instruments. He spent nearly 20 years behind bars.

His lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, shared in a statement: “I’m overjoyed that Demetrius Flenory is finally free after nearly 20 years behind bars. Two decades is an incredibly long time, and it’s been inspiring to witness the power of hope and resilience.”
