New partnership offers accelerated med school program in Kansas City [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Rockhurst University and Kansas City University are launching an accelerated pathway for future healthcare workers.

On Friday, Nov. 8, Rockhurst University and Kansas City University (KCU) will announce a new agreement providing high school graduates an accelerated pathway to earn a medical degree in seven years.

The Rockhurst University-Kansas City University Early Acceptance Program (ROKC-EAP), which will begin in fall 2025, offers an opportunity for a cohort of incoming freshmen to earn their seat in one of three programs at KCU upon their acceptance to Rockhurst for undergraduate studies. Available pathways include the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), and the Master of Health Science – Anesthesiologist Assistant (MHS-AA) programs

Qualified applicants will complete their undergraduate degree in biology while meeting GPA and other requirements at Rockhurst before transitioning to KCU.
