After public scrutiny following a deadly quadruple shooting, a New Orleans based ankle monitor company reports that a New Orleans judge is now taking action. The Assured Supervision Accountability Program, specializing in ankle monitoring, noted that suspects breaching their monitor conditions had not been rearrested until recently. Matt Dennis, ASAP’s owner, highlighted the case of Lester Jones, who he said faced multiple violations.”We shouldn’t wait for a murder to urge judges to fulfill their duties,” Dennis stated. He criticized judges in Orleans Parish for often ignoring violation reports. “His charges are felon in possession of a firearm, some drug charges resisting officers, possession of stolen property. He actually has been in prison, and recently looks like he got released maybe in 2023.
