A New Orleans apartment complex is under investigation after bats were found infesting the building, raising health and safety concerns.It’s the latest in a series of issues neighbors have had to deal with at the Willows Apartments, according to New Orleans City Council President Helena Moreno.Moreno shared photos of the bats and said she is asking the Orleans Parish District Attorney to consider criminal penalties for the apartment’s owner.”They were found in one unit and then appeared to be throughout the whole building,” Moreno said.She thanked the New Orleans Code Department, NOPD, and Health and Rodent Control for their quick response after she was alerted to the problem.”The tenants don’t deserve to be treated this way,” Moreno said.
