A New Market woman is frustrated with the Madison County Animal Control; she claims they lack care for abused animals and have neglected issues in her area despite reporting the offenses. We are learning things may be on the verge of changing now.
Melissa Jones said New Market is no stranger to stray and neglected dogs. The most recent dog, she said, has caught a lot of attention on social media due to its overgrown and matted look. She said the dog makes her and others in the community worried.
“Some of these animals will die; you know their last memories will be on a chain or being abused; you know being severely matted and just never knowing what it feels like to be in a loving home,” said Jones.
