New Krispy Kreme doughnuts are coming for July 4 [Video]

Independence Day is getting a little sweeter this year with a new collection of treats from Krispy Kreme. The North Carolina-based doughnut shop icon announced its “Star-Spangled Sweetness Collection” this weekend.

In a press release, the company said this collection will include both new and fan-favorite flavors, so there’s something for everyone when you show up with its custom red, white and blue box to summer celebrations. Customers can get a taste of the special package now, but it will only be available for a limited time.

Inside the box, you’ll find: new unglazed “Firework Cookies & Kreme Filled Doughnuts” that are hand-dipped in red icing and decorated with a blue icing swirl as well as a rocket candy piece; new original glazed “Cotton Candy Sparkler Doughnuts” that are hand-dipped in blue icing and cotton candy sugar before they’re decorated with white and red buttercreme dollops, and the original glazed “Freedom Flag Doughnut” that is hand-dipped in white …
