New interactive mural brings color into downtown Eyota | News [Video]

EYOTA, Minn. – A new interactive mural is on display in downtown Eyota, bringing some color to Front St. SW. The mural has combined many elements of the downtown including the fire department and other businesses on Main Street. 

Artist Colleen Ihrke even painted the Luke Bryan concert that happened in Eyota two years ago, saying it was a monumental event for the community. She says the mural is dedicated to her foster son, who committed suicide at age 23. 

The project took her 15 days to complete, going through a specific 3-step process of painting the large parts all the way down to the details of the mural. It’s been on display for a while now- she tells us what community members have to say about it.
