BLUE RIVER, Ore.– The scars of the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire are starting to heal thanks to the continuous rebuilding of the Blue River community. Earlier Tuesday, crews installed the final three modular homes to a formerly torched housing development.
The Lazy Days Mobile Home and RV park was burned to the ground in the fire with all of its occupants living there having to relocate. Four years later, and the development looks almost unrecognizable after new construction. Jacob Fox is the Executive Director for Homes for Good who helped in the reconstruction of the mobile home park. Fox said the homes are going to help at least 30 different family units return to the Blue River area.
