New housing, development project coming to Crossroads [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri city leaders announced that a new housing and multi-use development will be coming to the Crossroads Art District.

The project is called Mohawk at 15.

Once completed, the Mohawk at 15 will include 189 apartment units and ground-floor retail.

The development aims to make transportation options easier to access by connecting people with car share services and KCATA transportation.

“This is an almost unused surface parking lot that will become something so much better for the community; housing, affordable housing, jobs, activation, opportunity,” said Kansas City, MO City Manager Brian Platt. “Get used to this. This is something we’re doing all over the city now.”

The development will include a 100-space parking garage, EV charging stations, bike and car share services, and a KCATA transit hub.
