NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — The Consolidated School District of New Britain is surveying residents about the possible installation of metal detectors in schools before a town hall on Tuesday.
The school district said in a Facebook post that they are asking for residents’ input on what “metal/weapons detection technology” would look like and how it would function if installed in the schools.
The town will be holding a community forum on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in the New Britain High School Lecture Hall to discuss the possible installation of the technology. Residents can RSVP here.
