LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — New Albany spent Saturday celebrating local artists and butterflies.
There was plenty of music, food and crafts at the Monarch Festival. It started at 10 a.m. at Art on the Parish Green and is still going strong Saturday night.
Earlier in the day, kids and adults got up close and personal with monarch butterflies before they head south for the season.
“They migrate to Mexico and then I think the fourth generation make their way back to the place at which they were born, which is really cool.” said Brian Bell, with Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana.
