LEGENDARY director Jim Sheridan says he is “shocked” at the strong backing that Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch has received in the general election as the gang boss is in a fight for a Dail seat.
Gerry Hutch is running as an independent in the Dublin Central constituency where Sinn Fein’s Mary Lou McDonald looks set to top the poll with strong support for Fine Gael’s Paschal Donohoe and Social Democrat Gary Gannon.
