Neural DSP has launched a new version of its Quad Cortex, now in an “ultra-portable” size, following a long teaser video which infuriated fans.
The Nano Cortex is described by the brand as an “ultra-powerful” digital amplifier, cabinet simulator, and effects processor that delivers a full guitar/bass rig in a compact pedal. Neural says it has studio-quality sound, a comprehensive signal chain, flexible I/O options, and hosts its esteemed Neural Capture technology, much like its larger sibling.
The Quad Cortex and Neural Capture first landed in 2020. Now, that same technology is packed into a gig-ready pedal that fits in the palm of your hand. The Nano Cortex weighs just 620 g (1.36 lbs) and measures only 14.4 x 10.3 x 6.2 cm (5.6 x 4.0 x 2.4”).
