Netflix set to launch weekly talk show with John Mulaney [Video]

• Netflix is trying a talk show once again, this time with John Mulaney.
• The comedian has a strong relationship with the platform earning two Emmys from specials on Netflix.
• The talk show will arrive on Netflix in early 2025.

Netflix is no stranger to talk shows. It has tried the format before albeit with its own spin. There was David Letterman’s My Next Guest which was well received and Hasan Minhaj’s Patriot Act (which was wrongly cancelled) and that’s really it, aside from one off specials with the likes of Oprah Winfrey and comedian John Mulaney’s Everybody’s In LA. We’re also still sore about the cancelling of Hasan Minhaj’s show.

The latter in those examples, Mulaney, is set to feature more prominently on Netflix thanks to a new deal. The former Saturday Night Live writer will receive his own weekly talk show on the streaming platform in 2025.
