LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics Press Release) – No. 25 Nebraska used a strong defensive performance and a balanced offense that featured five Huskers in double-figures, as the Big Red rolled to an 84-38 women’s basketball victory over Kansas City at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday night.
Junior guard Callin Hake connected on a career-high five three-pointers on her way to a game-high 16 points to lead the five Huskers in double figures. Hake added four rebounds, four assists and two steals in an impressive all-around effort that helped Nebraska improve to 6-1 on the season. The Roos slipped to 2-5.
Hake hit a pair of threes in the opening minutes while backcourt mate Britt Prince added six points of her own to help Nebraska jump out to a 12-2 lead and never look back. Prince finished with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
