LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Nebraska Republicans secured sweeping victories in Tuesday’s General Election, winning all federal races on the ballot.
Voters re-elected GOP Senators Deb Fischer and Pete Ricketts, as well as U.S. Representatives Mike Flood and Adrian Smith. Don Bacon has also claimed victory in a competitive race for the 2nd Congressional District seat.
Gov. Jim Pillen praised the results Wednesday, describing it as a “great day” for both Nebraska and the nation.
“Nebraskans wisely chose to send steady, experienced conservatives to represent them in Congress,” Pillen said. “Those majorities present tremendous opportunity for Nebraska, and I look forward to continued partnership with our delegation to advance our interests in Washington.”
It appears Nebraska will also have a conservative majority in the state legislature.
