NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Bill Bratton comes to New Orleans with vast law enforcement experience.
While Bratton currently has the title of executive chairman of risk advisory at Teneo, a global consulting and advisory firm, he has nearly 50 years in public safety.
Bratton served as New York City’s police commissioner twice, first from 1994 to 1996 and again from 2014 to 2016. During his second term, he was widely credited with reducing crime rates and bolstering the NYPD’s counterterrorism efforts.
He also led the Los Angeles Police Department from 2002 to 2009, Boston’s Police Department from 1993 to 1994, and served as chief of New York City’s transit police.
