NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An educator at a Nashville high school was arrested after building an inappropriate relationship with a student outside of school, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
According to the arrest report, 40-year-old Andrew Cook, an educator at Glencliff High School, was accused of disclosing details of his personal life to the student, including issues at home with his wife and lack of sex.
Cook was also told about the student’s use of narcotics, which he condoned, according to the report.
Police said the juvenile, who thought Cook was someone she could trust and had grown feelings for, told him about a time she was sexually abused. She told him over text message she was abused twice since the ages of 15 and 16, according to the report.
