Émile Nadeau of Prévost, Que., improved on his best aerials performance of the season, earning a bronze medal at Sunday’s World Cup event in Lac-Beauport, Que., after placing seventh a day earlier.
Nadeau, 21, earned 95.98 points behind the Chinese tandem of Qi Guangpu (110.56) and Wang Xindi (105.88) for his first individual podium finish of the season on the circuit.
A year ago, Nadeau collected bronze in Lac-Beauport, scoring 105.30 points to edge China’s Zhang Yifan (103.10).
Qi, the reigning Olympic champion, and Wang were also 1-2 in last year’s competition.

Miha Fontaine of Lac-Beauport and Quebec City’s Alexandre Duchaine were 10th and 11th on Sunday, respectively. Duchaine was fifth in Saturday’s super final.
