SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now)—The Museum of Visual Materials hosted a rebrand open house and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Thursday afternoon.
The event was at 4:30 p.m. at their location 500 N. Main Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls.
During the open house, the Museum of Visual Materials unveiled its new branding, officially retiring its name and sharing its new name for the first time.
The rebrand has been many years in the making.
“Our name has kind of been a source of confusion for the community and people over the years haven’t really understood what goes on in this building and what we do and we have not had items on display or any kind of museum items for many, many years. So, it’s been coming for quite a while that we would really need to do something to better represent the organization to the community and make people more aware and familiar with what we actually do,” said …
