A Purple Heart and Air Medal public ceremony will be held in Muscatine July 4.
The ceremony is to recognize U.S. Army SSG Keith Ormsby. According to a press release:
The Purple Heart and Air Medal ceremony will Thursday, July 4, 7:30 p.m. at The Merrill Hotel, located at 119 W Mississippi Dr., Muscatine. Keynote speaker will be Rear Admiral Pamela Miller. Participating in the ceremony will be Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Sheriff Quinn Riess, Mayor Brad Bark, American Legion Post 430, Jessica Bopes and Eric Sanders (Muscatine County VA). The ceremony will end with a military flyover by the Iowa Army National Guard at 8:00 pm. near the intersection of Iowa Ave. and Mississippi Dr., Muscatine.
