Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio – A number of police departments across the state are reporting outages with 9-1-1 or routine department phone systems that are offline.
Social media posts from some departments are advising using alternate numbers if 911 is out.
For the state of Connecticut system and police, they advise texting 9-1-1 if they can’t call.
That should only be used in emergencies, say police.
Some of the municipalities impacted include West Hartford, Bloomfield, East Hartford, Simsbury, Plainfield, Westport and Cheshire just to name a few.
