Mumbai Lok Sabha Election Phase 5: A number of Mumbai eateries have declared that local voters on May 20 and 21 would receive 20 per cent off on their dine-in bills. According to the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Mumbai Chapter, the ‘Democracy Discount’ is an effort designed to encourage individuals to take part in the democratic process.

The head of the NRAI Mumbai Chapter, Rachel Goenka, expressed excitement for the effort and highlighted the engagement of several well-known firms as well as Mumbai’s strong sense of community.

Participating restaurants will provide a 20 per cent discount on the entire bill amount to customers who are residents, as proven by their voter ID, and voted with an inked finger, according to the scheme.

Mumbai will hold elections in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20, 2024.
