WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Mt. Calvary Center for leadership and development hosted a fall awareness celebration for all ages and a trunk or treat.
The center has served over two hundred students alone in just a year, and several thousand residents of New Hanover County.
Jimmy Tate, the President of Mt. Calvary Center believes it is now time for them to celebrate.
“Tonight, we feel like with the numbers that we are at, we are now ready to celebrate those that go jobs, those that are doing well, and those that graduated our first academy,” said Tate.
The main goal of the event was community awareness. As they start their second academy, they want to make everyone aware of the resources they have and encourage the public to take advantage of those resources that have been made available if needed.
