MSNBC’s Michael Steele Rips Media for ‘Whining’ About Kamala [Video]

MSNBC’s Michael Steele criticized those in the media complaining about Vice President Kamala Harris’s lack of press availability.

In comments on MSNBC’s The Weekend Saturday, Steele dismissed the media criticism of Harris, and seemed to accuse them of taking it easy on former President Donald Trump during his news conference Thursday.

“What has struck me since Donald Trump’s press conference is the sort of highbrow nature of the press coming at Kamala Harris,” Steele said. “Saying … in my view, whining, that ‘she doesn’t talk to us. She hasn’t done a sit down with us. She hasn’t done interviews with us.’ And I watch that press conference and I go, ‘Well, you start actually asking real questions of Donald Trump, and pressing him, then that sort of creates a space of balance.’”

Steele — citing positive polling news for the Harris campaign — went on to question why the vice president should do any interviews at all.
