Homes in one Australian state are experiencing mould problems at a much higher rate than any other state or territory, despite it not being the most humid.
The new research from Compare the Market reveals one in five people or 20.6 per cent from New South Wales have experienced mould in their homes in the last 12 months.
This is higher than the national average of 18.7 per cent, as well as other states with 19.4 per cent of Victorians, 19.4 per cent of Queenslanders and 17.1 per cent of Western Australians.

New South Wales residents also experienced dampness more than other states with 11.7 per cent.
In contrast, the national average for homes experiencing dampness is 9.9 per cent while Victoria is at 11.2 per cent, Western Australia at 10.5 per cent, South Australia at 7.8 …
