VIEW Conference 2024, Italy’s premier animation and visual effects event, has announced Oscar-nominated Alec Gillis, creature FX designer on Alien: Romulus, will present “Practical Character Effects and Why They Still Matter” live at the event’s 25th edition, running in person October 14 – 19 in Turin, Italy.

Alien: Romulus is the latest film in the classic franchise that is currently terrifying audiences worldwide. In his presentation “Practical Character Effects and Why They Still Matter” Gillus will discuss his work on the movie as well as share stories from his decades-long career working movies including Aliens, Predator, Tremors, Starship Troopers, and Death Becomes Her.
