BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Psychiatric Wellness Center unveiled its new Enhanced Care Management or ECM Mobile Mental Health Clinic last week.
The clinic on wheels is designed to provide critical mental health services to some of the most vulnerable residents in rural areas of Kern County.

“One of the biggest barriers to care is access, and the ability to be able to go mobile and to go to these communities and connect with individuals right in their home or their place of work or wherever it may be, it eliminates a huge access, a huge barrier to care,” Psychiatric Wellness Center CEO Ganesh Acharya said.
The mobile clinic is equipped to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and much more for Medi-Cal patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs.
