BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Your driver’s license may already be in your pocket, but now, you won’t even have to carry your wallet around with the state’s newest generation of Mobile ID.
West Virginia residents now have access to a secure digital version of your license or state-issued ID right from your mobile phone.
Residents can present their Mobile ID for airport security screening, age-restricted products and other identity checks both online and in-person, officials said.
The West Virginia mID app is available to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Officials said the app is designed to streamline interactions with government agencies and various businesses.
