MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County Health Department officials announced that a records system has returned to normal operations after it was shut down in July.
According to an MCHD press release, that system is the Vital Statistics Image Oriented Network which issues birth, death, and marriage certificates and autism cards.

Now, officials say that instead of traveling to other county health departments or making requests online, community members can visit the Keeler Memorial Building (251 North Bayou Street in Mobile) to get documents.

“I would like to reassure everyone in the community that we are back open,” said Michele Rogers, who oversees MCHD’s Vital Records team. “We are once again locally processing records.”
