MEDINA, Ohio — Thanks to a new initiative by the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD), access to restroom facilities at county events will be more feasible for individuals with disabilities and mobility issues.
That includes the upcoming Medina County Fair, which runs July 29 through Aug. 4.
MCBDD has partnered with the fair to provide and fully fund the services of a mobile changing unit, which will be located behind the community center building throughout the fair.
“This is actually the second time we have used it,” said Patti Hetkey, MCBDD’s community relations manager.
“We had it at the Taste of Wadsworth, and we are committed to getting it out as much as possible at Medina County events free of charge.”
