KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Literacy KC AmeriCorps VISTA program and the Volunteer Attorney Project are hosting the MLK Day Legal clinic at the Urban Youth Academy on Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
This event is dedicated to community empowerment through access to free legal resources.
The program provides a unique opportunity for people facing legal challenges to meet one-on-one with experienced attorneys who offer guidance and information on varying problems, which include:
- Housing legal matters
- Immigration concerns
- Guardianship
- Debt relief
- Divorce
- Bankruptcy
The clinic is dedicated to helping anyone seeking clarity on a pressing legal issue or looking for advice to navigate a complex situation. All of this will be completely free of charge.
