MLK Community Centers Prosperity Neighborhood Initiative Tier 2 meeting aims to revitalize disadvantage communities [Video]

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A “Prosperity Neighborhood Initiative Tier 2” event is coming to the Bakersfield PAL and organizers want to hear from the community on how to improve disadvantage communities.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Center is hosting the Sept. 24, meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bakersfield PAL on East Fourth Street.

The initiative aims to revitalize disadvantaged neighborhoods through public improvements, health and education programs, safety economic opportunities and more.

During the event, organizers say they will hear from the public, collaborate with public health partners, and build partnerships with local organizations.
