NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An 82-year-old Giles County woman who has been missing since Tuesday has been found safe, officials said on Saturday.
Giles County Emergency Services said Caulyne Cross was found on Saturday. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for Cross on Tuesday.
Several agencies and community members searched for her for five days.
Giles County Emergency Services said in the coming days they will release a detailed report highlighting the man-hours, miles searched and support from volunteers.
“This incredible outcome is a testament to the power of prayer, the unwavering dedication of the Giles County community, and its statewide help brought in by years of building strong working relationships,” Giles County Emergency Services said in a Facebook post. “Our county has been blessed with some of the hardest-working volunteers, both responders and citizens, who made an extraordinary effort to bring Mrs. Cross home safely.”
