TEMPLE, Texas — Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple was among the thousands of businesses impacted by a worldwide Microsoft outage on Friday.
The outage was triggered by an update by the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. It disrupted flights, banks, media outlets, and hospitals around the world.
Senior Marketing and Public Relations Consultant for Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple Christy Millweard sent 6 News a statement Friday morning about how BS&W was responding.
“Our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of those we serve and our team members,” the statement reads. “Patient care is safely continuing as we work through issues related to the technical disruption that is impacting computer systems across the globe.”
