Miami officials plan for future as Tracker Marine prepares to close [Video]

MIAMI, Okla. — Miami city and community officials are thinking about what’s next once Tracker Marine closes in a few months.

As we first told you last week, the boat maker will be closing its doors early next year.

Shannon Duhon is the C.E.O. and president of the Miami Area Economic Development Service.

He says there are still many questions that need to be answered, before the community can start thinking about a company taking over the facility.

He believes those answers need to come from “Tracker Marine” before the company leaves town.

“Is this a facility that they would be interested in selling, leasing out to another company to come in and do production in that same facility so those are the kind of conversations that we need to have with the officials with Tracker Marine and White River, they’ve been good people, they’ve been a great company,” said …
