OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) –  What began as a simple collaboration on a research paper has evolved into a groundbreaking idea to help the homeless. Dr. Garett Patria, a Michigan resident, is turning scrap vehicles into temporary refugee shelters, offering a solution that he believes is better than tents or nothing at all.
