Early Sunday morning, students were threatened via Snapchat at Meriden’s Thomas Edison Middle School, police said.
MERIDEN, Conn. — In the early morning of Aug. 8, the Meriden Police Department was notified of a threatening Snapchat post circulating on social media that was targeting students at Thomas Edison Middle School.
According to police, they are still actively investigating the situation with help from Meriden School Personnel.
Police said at this moment it’s unclear whether the threat is specifically directed at the middle school.
As a precaution, the Meriden police will increase their presence at Thomas Edison throughout this week.
