Mercy Regional EMS launching ambulance services in Sand Springs | News [Video]

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Mercy Regional EMS, in collaboration with the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the launch of its ambulance services in Sand Springs on Thursday.

FOX23 spoke with Brian Cook, Chief Operations Officer, Mercy Regional EMS, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the new ambulance services on Thursday.

He said Mercy EMS will be taking over ambulance services for Sand Springs starting on Jan. 15.

“These are new ambulances that will be dedicated to Sand Springs,” Cook said. “We will provide a paramedic-level service and staff three 24-hour trucks around the clock for 911 calls.”

Cook said the new ambulances are dedicated to the citizens of Sand Springs. They’re available for 911 calls only.

“This is the first time in probably over 40 years that they’ll have dedicated the ambulances to the citizens of Sand Springs,” he said.
